About GCEG: As a subsidiary of the Great Entertainment Group, GCEG was set up to produce the AIA Carnival; one of the most anticipated and celebrated annual events in Hong Kong, offering a unique combination of entertainment, culture, and culinary experiences.

Role Overview: The AIA Carnival is seeking a Community Stage Manager to join our dynamic team and run our famous Community Stage. With experience in events or theatre, the ideal candidate will liaise with our Community Partners, manage bookings, facilitate acts and activations, coordinate with the AVL technicians, and oversee the stage management team to ensure seamless event operations. This is a full-time short-term position from December 2024 - February 2025.

Contract Duration: December 2024 - February 2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate community groups involved in the event.

• Ensure Community partners receive hospitality and have a positive experience.

• Liaise with the stage AVL team to ensure technical requirements are met.

• Report daily, weekly, and monthly to the Community Director.

• Oversee and manage the stage management team.

• Ensure all stage activities run smoothly and on schedule.

• Take initiative and proactively solve problems as they arise.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in managing busy events.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

• Strong communication skills in English and Cantonese (Mandarin is a bonus).

• Ability to work well in a team and take initiative.

• Flexible and adaptable to the fast-paced event environment.

• Candidates with less experience will still be considered for Assistant Stage Manager position
